Buying from us
Delivery
The price on the page is the price you pay. One UK number, no threshold, no surcharge, no price on application.
Most of this category advertises free delivery in the header and then finds a reason to charge you. Heavy item surcharge, Highlands surcharge, Northern Ireland on application. On a 16 to 41 kg box that adds up, and finding out at the payment screen is the single most common reason people abandon an order.
So we did the arithmetic once, put it in the price, and stopped talking about it. What you see on a product page is what leaves your account.
Where the delivered price applies
- England, Scotland and Wales, mainland
- The Scottish Highlands and the Scottish Islands
- Northern Ireland
- The Isle of Man and the Isles of Scilly
Same price in all of them. If you are in IV, KW, HS, ZE, PA, PH, BT, IM or TR21 to TR25, you are used to being told your postcode costs extra. Not here.
The exception is the Channel Islands, which carriers price as international. We would rather say that on this page than take the order and go quiet. Send us the postcode and we will price it.
We do not ship outside the UK at the moment. When we do, the price will be a real delivered price in the local currency rather than a converted one.
What actually turns up
One or two boxes, on a normal courier van, to the kerb. Nothing on this site needs a pallet, a tail lift or a forklift, and that is not an accident. The range is packed specifically to stay inside what a two-day parcel network handles.
| Kit size | Total weight | Boxes | Heaviest single box |
|---|---|---|---|
| 112 x 112 cm | 15 to 18 kg | 1 | 18 kg |
| 158 x 112 cm | 21 to 29 kg | 1 | 29 kg |
| 249 x 112 cm | 30 to 41 kg | 2 | Under 21 kg |
The long kits split into two boxes rather than one. That costs us more, not less, and we do it anyway because a single 41 kg carton at over a metre long is a two-person lift and no parcel network sends two people.
Lead times
One to two working days to pick and pack, then two to three working days in transit. Call it a working week and you will rarely be disappointed.
If a date genuinely matters, tell us before you order rather than after. We will either commit to it or say we cannot, and we would rather say we cannot.
Questions people ask
- How much is delivery?
- Nothing extra. Carriage is inside the price on every kit, to any UK address including the Scottish Highlands and Islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Isles of Scilly. There is no threshold to reach and no surcharge at checkout.
- Do I need a forklift or a tail lift?
- No. Kits ship as one or two boxes on a normal courier van and come to the kerb. The heaviest single box on the whole range is under 21 kg, which is a deliberate packing decision.
- How long does it take?
- Two to three working days on a standard service once the order is picked, and picking is one to two working days. If a date matters to you, say so on the order and we will tell you honestly whether we can hit it.
- Will the driver bring it inside?
- Kerbside is what a parcel network provides. In practice a driver will usually put a box inside a garage door if you ask, but it is a courtesy and not something we can promise on their behalf.
- Do you deliver to the Channel Islands?
- Not on the standard delivered price, because carriers treat the Channel Islands as an international destination. Send us the postcode and we will price it properly rather than quietly refuse the order later.
